Coronavirus community update

In these uncertain and worrying times, Bredhurst Parish Council would like to encourage all members of our community to do what they can to help others. There will be elderly and vulnerable people who are self-isolating, and many people working from home, often with children to educate and entertain. It is at times like this that a community can really pull together. There are a number of suggestions for ways to help, including dropping a card through neighbours’ doors offering help with shopping or just a chat on the phone. Social media and online groups will become more and more important. Please do whatever you can to help those around you. If you need help or feel you can help but are not sure how to, please send a message to the parish council Facebook page and we will attempt to put you in touch with others nearby. Bredhurst Parish Council will continue to work for the community, although it is highly likely that meetings will be cancelled for the foreseeable future. We are currently awaiting guidance from central government about this. We wish all members of our community well and encourage you to stay safe, follow guidelines and look out for each other.
